The New Tax-Free Savings Account
At Acuity Funds Ltd., we are committed to keeping our investors aware of their options for savings.
Starting in January 2009, Acuity will offer the new Tax-Free Savings Account (TFSA) - a registered account where Canadian residents age 18 or older will be eligible to initially contribute up to $5,000 per calendar year without being taxed on investment income or capital gains earned in the account. Contributions are not tax deductible and withdrawals are tax-free.
